It’s that time of the year. Christmas is here again, and I’m almost broke.
Kidding aside, it’s fortunate I have enough money for gift giving. Specifically, I have enough money to give my own wife a gift. But it’s not money I’m worried about, it’s time. I’m a little too stressed at work, which makes me want to sleep right away as soon as I get home. So being the tired and lazy man I am, I found a way to save both time and money. Instead of going through overcrowded shopping malls, I looked online instead. And luckily enough, after asking a dear friend, she gave me a site where she buys her personal stuff. The Fifth Collection is where she bought affordable things. It’s a vintage shop in Singapore where you can buy authentic pre owned designer handbags. I’m so thankful for the digital age to revolutionise shopping, because a lot of time and money was saved buying online instead. Here’s why buying online saved me a lot of stress. Buying online saves a lot of time I get tired easily. I don’t like going through traffic after a hard day’s work. It pains me so much. But since online shopping has been a thing since its emergence, I thought to buy online instead. It saved me a lot of time instead of going to the mall on a busy day. Going through The Fifth Collection, I saw a lot of thrifty items. What caught my eye was their vintage handbags. My wife adores handbags the way I adore my leather shoes. Not only are they handbags, but they’re VINTAGE. That’s so cool! Anyway, I searched for the perfect gift and saw this nice little shoulder bag. I thought to myself that my wife would love it. It was a Burberry Abbot Crossbody bag that costed me $450. Even as a man, I love the look of this women’s bag. I just love its vintage design. After making my mind, I just went on with it and purchased the cute little thing. How long did it take, you might ask? One hour. If I went to the mall, it would take me one hour to get there. I would take maybe two hours trying to search for a gift, then another hour getting back home. Thank goodness for the internet, right? Shopping on the web saves money If you buy from retail stores, they take a little more money than usual. The establishment would have to pay for the cost of rent. But with digital stores, there’s no such thing as a physical establishment. It takes only so little of your money to establish a digital store. The bag I bought was a designer bag, so its retail price must’ve been expensive. Plus, I probably couldn’t have found the bag in stores. I’m so thankful digital shopping exists. I saved a lot of time and money. These two things are so important when you’re an adult.
